- 1 pound boneless chicken
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Method
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and salt to the bowl. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent.
- Add the pureed tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until it is no longer pink.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens again.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
- Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
Notes
If you want to make this recipe spicier, you can increase the amount of chili powder or add some red pepper flakes.
